The B. Pharm is a 4-year undergraduate program designed to train professional pharmacists, covering key areas like pharmaceutics, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and pharmacy practice. The program combines theoretical learning with hands-on lab sessions, focusing on drug discovery, development, formulation, and safe medication use. Internships and hospital rotations are essential for clinical experience. Graduates can work in community pharmacies, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, research labs, or regulatory bodies as pharmacists, clinical specialists, medical representatives, and quality control managers. B. Pharm programs are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), adhering to strict regulatory standards to ensure quality education. The B. Pharm program prepares students to become skilled pharmacists, contributing to healthcare and ensuring the safe use of medicines.

As a dynamic and evolving field, pharmacy provides a robust platform for professionals in healthcare, research, and education.
In the initial semester, students gain foundational knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences through courses like Human Anatomy and Physiology, which examines body structure and function, and Pharmaceutical Analysis, emphasising drug quality assessment. Pharmaceutics covers medication formulation and delivery, while Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry explores the role of inorganic compounds in pharmacy. Additionally, Communication Skills training ensures effective professional interactions, and Remedial Biology and Remedial Mathematics provide essential support in these subjects.
The second semester builds on foundational knowledge, exploring Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry. Students also study Pathophysiology and engage with Computer Applications in Pharmacy and Environmental Sciences to enhance their understanding of pharmaceutical science.
In the third semester, the curriculum focuses on advanced topics such as Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Physical Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, and Pharmaceutical Engineering. Practical laboratory sessions provide essential hands-on experience for future pharmaceutical professionals.
In the fourth semester, students delve into advanced Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, exploring complex organic compounds and their applications. Medicinal Chemistry focuses on drug design and mechanisms of action. Physical Pharmaceutics covers formulation principles, while Pharmacology examines drug interactions and therapeutic effects. Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry introduce students to natural products and their potential uses in medicine, fostering a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical science and its applications.
In the fifth semester, students study Medicinal Chemistry, focusing on the design and development of pharmaceuticals. Industrial Pharmacy covers manufacturing processes and quality assurance. Pharmacology examines drug actions and interactions, while Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry explore natural product sources. Additionally, Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence introduces the legal aspects of pharmacy practice, providing essential knowledge for navigating the regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry and ensuring compliance.
The sixth semester emphasises Medicinal Chemistry and its role in drug discovery, alongside advanced Pharmacology, which explores drug mechanisms and effects. Students also study Herbal Drug Technology, focusing on the development of natural products. Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics cover drug absorption and metabolism, while Pharmaceutical Biotechnology introduces innovative biopharmaceuticals. Quality Assurance ensures compliance with industry standards. Additionally, students engage in a Research Project and a Summer Internship to gain practical experience in diverse pharmacy environments.
The seventh semester focuses on advanced pharmaceutical applications. Instrumental Methods of Analysis provides insights into analytical techniques, while Industrial Pharmacy covers manufacturing processes and quality control. Pharmacy Practice emphasises patient care skills, and Novel Drug Delivery Systems explores innovative drug administration methods. Additionally, Practice School offers hands-on experience, bridging academic learning with real-world practice.
In the final semester, students engage with advanced topics like Biostatistics & Research Methodology and Social & Preventive Pharmacy. Courses in Pharma Marketing Management, Pharmaceutical Regulatory Science, and Pharmacovigilance prepare students for industry standards, while Quality Control of Herbals, Computer-Aided Drug Design, and Project Work offer hands-on expertise in product development, experimental pharmacology, and modern pharmaceutical practices.
