They can work as Fashion Designers, Fashion Coordinators, Quality Control Managers, Merchandising Managers, Production Managers, Entrepreneurs, Fashion Journalists, or even Professors. The program fosters creativity, technical skills, and a keen understanding of market dynamics, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to thrive in various roles within this dynamic and competitive field. In the first semester of the B.Sc in Fashion Designing, students engage with foundational concepts through core theory and practical courses. Core subjects include Elements of Textiles, Elements of Fashion, and Elements of Design, providing insights into textile properties, fashion trends, and design principles. Practical courses like Fashion Model Drawing, Fashion Art, and Garment Construction enhance creative and technical skills. Additionally, students develop essential communication skills through English and explore personal values with Human Values, De-addiction, and Traffic Rules. This semester establishes a solid foundation for a career in fashion design.
In the second semester of the B.Sc in Fashion Designing, students delve into the rich heritage of Indian fashion and textiles. Core theory courses include History of Indian Costumes, Indian Art Appreciation, and Traditional Indian Textiles and Embroideries, which explore the evolution of Indian attire, artistic influences, and textile techniques. Practical laboratories enhance design skills with courses such as Elements of Design, Fashion Model Drawing, Fashion Art, Pattern Making, and Garment Construction. Students also gain proficiency in Computer Applications and Fashion Photography. The semester concludes with Mentoring and Professional Development, fostering personal and professional growth.
In the third semester of the B.Sc in Fashion Designing, students explore the intricate world of textiles and fashion history. Core theory courses include Dyeing and Printing Techniques and History of Western Costumes. Practical laboratories enhance hands-on skills with courses such as World Art Appreciation, Pattern Making/Draping, and Garment Making. Students also engage in CAD, Yarn Craft, and Fashion Art. Field research focuses on craft documentation and exploring hand printing, painting techniques, and embroidery. The semester culminates with Mentoring and Professional Development for Documenting Craft supporting students in their research and documentation efforts.
The fourth semester focuses on the fundamentals of the apparel industry, featuring theory courses like Fundamentals of Apparel Production and Survey of Apparel Merchandising. Practical sessions include Fabric Research and Sourcing, CAD, Pattern Making and Grading, and Advanced Drapery. Students also engage in Garment Construction + Fabric Studies and Fabric Surface Techniques. The semester concludes with Mentoring and Professional Development, preparing students for professional challenges in the fashion industry.
In the fifth semester of the B.Sc in Fashion Designing, students focus on various aspects of garment creation and design. Practical laboratories include Men’s Wear, Knit Wear, and Kids Wear, providing hands-on experience in diverse clothing styles. Students enhance their technical skills with Advanced Computer-Aided Design and Creative Pattern Making courses. Additionally, they engage in trend forecasting, fashion research, and design documentation, which are crucial for staying ahead in the fashion industry. The semester culminates in an internship, offering real-world experience, mentoring, and professional development to support their career growth.
The final semester of the B.Sc in Fashion Designing focuses on the culmination of students’ learning through a Core Practical/Laboratory course in Art Portfolio, where they compile their best works to showcase their design skills. Additionally, students engage in a Skill Enhancement Course centred on Design Collection, allowing them to create a cohesive line of clothing that reflects their unique aesthetic. Throughout this semester, mentoring and professional development continue to play a vital role, guiding students as they prepare to launch their careers in the fashion industry.

Design laboratories are specialized spaces equipped for research and experimentation in design. Unlike studios and workshops, design labs offer enhanced transparency, experimentation, and documentation. They enable researchers to test hypotheses, make detailed measurements, document findings, and replicate studies. These labs are integral to industrial design schools globally, supporting detailed and accurate research.
GARMENT CONSTRUCTION LAB
Apparel construction is a creative art and skill to prepare a well-finished garment where stitching is done by combining the different garment components. Construction lab is equipped with the best brand of industry-grade stitching and special machinery. To develop the construction skills of the students, this lab is an essential part of Fashion and Design. Garment construction laboratory will help to learn the basic and core sewing techniques to create any garment.

PATTERN MAKING AND DRAPING LAB
These labs are stocked with specialized pattern making tables & dress forms for draping. The infrastructure provides an environment that allows the students to rigorously apply and contextualize concepts and processes of realizing garments. These labs are the breeding ground for heightened creativity, unique approach and innovative perspectives in relation to garment making.
SKETCHING LAB
Art lab is a spacious classroom-like studio design for students for sketching purposes. The studio is equipped with projector facility and comfortable seating for drawing sketches.
